Blepharoplasty
With Blepharoplasty we remove the sagging skin on the upper and lower eyelid.
The skin can even reduce the visual range. Fat pads appear on the lower eyelid and give the face a weary look.
The procedure is performed with narcosis or local anesthesia. The incisions are hidden in the natural wrinkles so they are invisible after the operation.
The operation of the upper eyelids is usually combined with eyebrow lift. This improves and beautifies the final result even more and also rejuvenates the eyes and the face.
The lower eyelids are once again of youthful look, since they drop a little with aging and lose their tension, which is mostly noticeable by the outer eye corner.
The excess fat is then rearranged to the cheek area, which complements the youthful look even more.
After the procedure
Cooling is advised for a day or two, to diminish the swelling and bruising. Major physical activities are not recommended, particularly the positions where the head is upside down.
Avoid strong sun and wind for at least one month. I advise against the usage of eye shadows for about 10-14 days. The stitches are removed 5-7 days after the procedure.
After 10-14 days you can go back to work (on average).
Possible complications
The most common complications are ones concerning the wound healing (inflammation, infections,…).
